<p>An electrophotographic material having an enhanced sensitivity to laser rays comprises, (A) an electroconductive substrate, and (B) a laser-sensitive electrophotographic layer comprising (a) a finely divided photoconductive zinc oxide, (b) a resinous binder, (c) a sensitizing coloring material comprising at least one member selected from the compounds of the formulae (I) <CHEM> in which m<1>, m<2>, n<1> and n<2> are 1 to 8, R<1> and R<2> are -COO or -SO3 , R<3> and R<4> are H, -CH=CH2 -COOH, -SO3H, -COONa, -SO3Na, COOK or -SO3K, X is Cl, Br, I or -ClO4 , <CHEM> and, (d) a sensitizing assistant comprising at least one carboxylic anhydride of the formula (III): <CHEM> wherein R<5> and R<6> are H, C1-8 alkyl or phenyl. i</p> |
