<p>A coupling element (11) for a slide fastener (10) is disclosed which is formed of metallic alloys (15) into a desired element shape in a discrete formation. The metallic couplig element (11) is provided on its exposed surfaces with a proctective film (14) by ionization plating, and alternatively initially with an intermediate nickel plated layer (16) in advance of the formation of the protective film (14).</p> |
