摘要 PURPOSE:To increase reliability, by a method wherein a semicircular current connector, equipped with a rise-up pipe, is provided between a field coil and a current lead while a pocket, communicated with the rise-up pipe, is provided in the connector. CONSTITUTION:The superconducting field coil 3 of a superconducting rotor is supported by a coil supporting tube and an outer cylinder while the coil 3 is cooled by liquid helium and reserved in a liquid reservoir. The current lead 14 itself is provided with cooling passages 16 and is equipped with a semicircular current connector 19, connected to a lead wire 17 and a rise-up pipe 18, at the end on the low-temperature side. The connector 19 is provided with a pocket 20 and is communicated with the rise-up pipe 18 while the pocket 20 is communicated with the axial cooling passage 16 of the current lead 14. A field current is introduced into the current lead 14, and the inversion of heat due to heat transfer of the lead 14 is cooled by the evaporation of one part of the liquid helium while evaporated gas is discharged at the end of a shaft through the cooling passage 16. According to this method, the connector 19 and the current lead 14 are cooled so as to have a proper temperature gardient.
