PURPOSE:To prevent the variance of the photographic performance of a photosensitive material by detecting the liquid levels of processing tanks of an automatic processor, and by replenishing an amount of water decreased during stand-by period etc., of the processor. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material is developed while replenishing a processing solution according to processing amount of the photosensitive material. And the liquid levels of the tanks of a developing solution and/or a fixing solution which decreased by vaporing water during the stand-by period and/or the period of suspension of the automatic processor are automatically detected respectively, and the amount of water equivalent to that of the vaporized water is automatically replenished. The detection of the liquid level is carried out by a level sensor, etc., and a mildew proofing agent such as aminopolycarboxylic acid, etc. may be added to the replenishing water. |
