PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF METALLIC BOTTLES

Two halves of a metallic bottle are lap-bonded using a thermoplastic resin having the following properties; (a) a water absorption of less than 10% at 23 deg.C and a relative humidity of 80%; (b) an elasticity contribution ratio (R(t)t=1) of 0.0001-0.5, the elasticity comtribution ratio being given by R(t)t=1=J(t)rec, t=1/J(t)t=1 (J(t) t=1 is creep compliance at a time constant of 1 sec. when the adhesive is caused to creep at a temperature higher by 30 deg.C than the melting point of the adhesive under a shear stress of 50-5000 dyne/sq.cm, and J(t)rec, t=1 is an equilibrum recovery creep compliance when the adhesive is caused to creep.
