PURPOSE:To obtain a high magnetic field while a value of a critical magnetic field is made large and superconductivity is hard to damage by a method wherein a coil is wound in such a way that a magnetic field generated when an electric current flows to the coil and a C-axis of a crystal of a superconducting material constituting the coil form perpendicularity or a large angle close to the perpendicularity. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic field 3 of a coil generated when an electric current flows is perpendicular to a C-axis 2 of a superconducting material. Therefore, a critical magnetic field is restricted by Hc2. Because Hc2>Hc2 //, a maximum magnetic field obtained at this time is larger than a conventional one. When a coil is wound in such a way that an angle theta formed by the magnetic field generated when the electric current flows and the C-axis is a value expressed by 90 deg.-(thetac+10 deg.)<=theta<=90 deg.+(thetac+10 deg.), where tan thetac=(Hc2 //) / (Hc2), a higher magnetic field can be obtained. |
