PURPOSE:To obtain the title sintered compact suitable for antiskid spike, having excellent toughness, antifracture strength, etc., by compounding a specified amt. of Al2O3 and one or more kinds selected among Cr2O3, NiO, Fe3O4, V2O5 and TiO2 with ZrO2 contg. Y2O3 and/or CeO2 and by sintering. CONSTITUTION:(A) 72-94.9wt.% ZrO2 contg. 1.5-5mol% Y2O3 and/or 5-30mol% CeO2, (B) 25-5wt.% Al2O3 and (C) 3-0.1wt.% one or more kinds selected among Cr2O3, NiO, Fe3O4, V2O5 and TiO2 are mixed. Then, the mixed powder is granulated, molded and sintered to produce the high strength colored zirconia sintered compact having specific gravity of >=95% of theoretical value calculated from the compsn. The sintered compact is suitable as antiskid spike for shoes, snow tire, etc., because of its excellent toughness, antifracture force, besides lightness and decorativeness. |
