<p>PURPOSE:To separate and recover palladium and copper in the state possible to use for catalyst, respectively, by adding a basic bidenate ligand to an aq. nitric acid acidic soln. contg. palladium and cooper to deposit palladium complex and thereafter by adding beta-diketone to the soln. filtered off the palladium complex to deposit copper complex. CONSTITUTION:The basic bidenate ligand is added to the aq. nitric acid acidic soln. contg. palladium and copper, by <=1.05 times the amt. of palladium contained in the aq. soln. to form palladium nitrate monochelate complex. Then, the filtrate obtd. by filtering off the complex is added with beta-diketone and thereafter alkalized to form bis (beta-diketon) copper chelate complex. The amt. of beta-diketone to be added is about 1-10 times the amt. of copper contained in the filtrate obtd. by filtering off the palladium nitrate monochelate complex. Acetylacetone is pref. as beta-diketone.</p> |
