PURPOSE:To eliminate intermittent lighting so as to improve power saving and long life characteristics by applying, to a filament, charge voltage for a condensor of a first high voltage oscillating unit through the application of low frequency A.C. voltage, and also applying thereto high voltage of a second high voltage application unit. CONSTITUTION:A condensor 6 is charged when a current Ia flows into a high voltage application unit 8 after transistors TR1, TR2 are ON with D.C. of a bridge rectifying unit 3. Filament units 11, 11 are applied with high voltage when the current Ib further flows into a high voltage generating unit 9 through the transistor TR1 and a coil L3, which current being come from an A.C. power source 1 through a condensor C and diodes 6. A part of the current Ib' through the diodes 6 flows to a high voltage generating unit 8 through the TR1, coil L2, and TR2, and charge voltage of the condensor 6 is applied to the filaments 11, 11. It is thus possible to realize power saving and long life through elimination of intermittent lighting with the application of high frequency to the filament units 11, 11 of tubular bodies 10, 10. |
