PURPOSE:To obtain a contact-less switch free from any effect due to magnetic interference by constituting the switch with a core molded from a superconducting material showing a perfect dimagnetic phenomenon at a given temperature and a conductor wound around the core via an insulation. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal switch 1, a core 2 turns to be perfectly dimagnetic at a given temperature or below and electric current is thereby made to flow in a conductor 3 spirally wound about the core 2. Consequently, a magnetic field is interrupted by the core 2 and electric current does not flow in a circuit. In an insulation 4, however, a magnetic filed is generated to cause a current to flow in the conductor 3 and electric current flows. In this case, the insulation 4 is thin and the flowing current is negligibly small. On the other hand, the core 2 loses a perfect dimagnetic phenomenon at a level exceeding the given temperature and a magnetic field for causing a current to flow in the conductor 3 is generated within the core 2, thereby causing a current to flow in the circuit. |
