TREATMENT OF ORGANIC DRAINAGE

PURPOSE:To efficiently and economically treat organic drainage by using solid particles stuck with microorganism and treating organic drainage in the presence of iron material. CONSTITUTION:Drainage is introduced into a treating tank 101 via an introduction line 102 of drainage with a pump P1. Microorganism carriers 110 are housed in the treating tank 101. The air introduced to the bottom part of the treating tank 101 with a blower B is passed through a layer 108 packed with iron material provided to the bottom part and ascended in the left of a partition plate 109 and thereby a circulating flow is formed in the tank. The microorganism carriers 110 housed in the tank are circulated with the circulating flow and sufficiently brought into contact with drainage to treat it. After the aerobic treatment, the air is stopped to perform anaerobic treatment and again aerobic treatment is repeated. Thereby both nitrogen and phosphorus are simultaneously removed together with the decomposing treatment of organic substance.
