PURPOSE:To attain a station failure detecting system with less load given to the entire network due to a failure, by relating a monitor station and a station to be monitored in all the stations in a network, in data exchange without a station exclusive for network control. CONSTITUTION:A station A constituting a data exchange network is taken as a station to be monitored for a station B and the station B is taken as the monitor station of the station A. The station B monitors the communicating state with the station A, and when the noncommunication state is detected for a prescribed time or over, it is taken as an abnormality of communication, a station state confirming data addressed to the station A is transmitted to channels (1)and (2) as an abnormality of communication and waits for its response. If a reception is not given at the station B even after a prescribed time (t,0), it is discriminated by the station B that the station A is failed, and the station B informs the failure to all the stations in the network. |
