PURPOSE:To prevent a noise from increasing at a non-recording part, by passing through an area where no recording of information between tracks is performed, moving it to a targeted sector, and performing a recording, or an erasing, when the information is recorded on, or erased from a magneto-optical disk. CONSTITUTION:When the recording, or the erasing for a targeted track Tm, and sector address Sm, is performed, after a sector address at a targeted track address, or one preceding or succeeding track address, and one preceding of a targeted sector address, is detected, the recording, or the erasing is performed after passing a nonrecording area between the tracks Tm and Tm-1, or the tracks Tm and Tm+1, and arriving at a trageted track address and sector address (Tm, Sm). However, when it is Sm=O, the nonrecording area between the tracks Tm-2 and Tm-1, or Tm-1 and T is passed after Tm-2, Smax; Tm-1, Smax; Tm, Smax are detected. In such way, no deterioration in a recording signal is generated, and the increase of the noise at the nonrecording part can be prevented. |
