<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a cord suitable for forming a knot, a splice joint part and a thimble joint by making a polymer component suitable for a partial melting exist on the surface of a cord. CONSTITUTION: A polymer having a melting point lower than a polymer filament, fiber and/or yarn forming a cord is especially made to exist in a stressed region of a yarn and a heating treatment is performed at a temperature higher than a melting point of a polymer having a lower melting point and below a melting point of polymer filament, fiber and/or yarn forming the cord to form a knot, a splice joint or a thimble joint.</p> |
