PURPOSE:To make it possible to surely pay out sheet-like mediums one by one, by constituting a gate section with a plurality of resilient thin plates whose heights are gradually and slightly higher along the pay-out direction of the mediums, and which are stacked one upon another so that they are projected upward. CONSTITUTION:Estimating, for example, that five mediums 2A through 2B are simultaneously fed being superposed each other and come to a gate section 8, four thin resilient plates 81 through 84 serve as stoppers for the mediums, respectively, and therefore, inhibit the movement of the mediums, excepting the topmost one 2A. That is the topmost medium 2A is directly applied with a moving force from a pay-out mechanism, which is large enough to successively bend the four thin resilient plates 81 through 84 having different heights, and therefore, the topmost sheet may pass thereabove. However, the power for moving the the mediums below the topmost one, is equal to a value which is obtained by multiplying the moving power of the topmost one by a frictional coefficient obtained by the friction between the mediums, and therefore, it is gradually decreased. Accordingly, the topmost one alone may pass over the resilient thin plates 84. Accordingly, it is possible to precisely separate the mediums from each other in the gate section.
