PURPOSE: To enhance the adhesiveness of magnetic power and a binder and the wear resistance of carrier particles by forming a mixture composed of a prescribed acidic resin and a prescribed basic resin as a binder. CONSTITUTION: The binder of the carrier particles formed by dispersing the magnetic powder (A) into the resin binder contains a mixture composed of the acidic resin (B) having an acid value of 5 to 50mgKOH/g and the basic resin (C) having a free amino group corresponding to 2 to 50mgKOH/g. The acid-base reaction between the components B and C is induced while the components B, C are mixed with the component A. The content of the component A is preferably >=70wt.% of the total carrier and the grain size thereof 0.05 to 3.0μm. Polyester by ethoxylated bisphenol A and phthalic acid, etc., are preferably used for the component B and a vinyl type (co)polymer contg. the free amino group, etc., are for the component C. |
