PURPOSE: To obtain an antidiarrheal agent which is useful for nonspecific diarrhea caused by intestinal pathogen or enterotoxin by using a trans-2(1- pyrrolidinyl)cyclohexyl pentyloxycarbanylate. CONSTITUTION: This antidiarrheal agent contains (±)-trans-2(1-pyrrolidinyl) cyclohexyl 3-(n)-pentyloxycarbanylate as an active ingredient. In a preferred embodiment, this therapeutic agent contains the hydrochloride salt, adipate salt or fumarate salt of the ester, and when necessary, a vehicle as an active ingredient. This composition is prepared in a usual manner to give the objective agent. The active substance of the formula also has antiulcerative, and spasmolytic and topical anesthetic actions. |
