PURPOSE: To obtain a pile fabric having been solved in faults such as dinginess, whitening, and durability and opening properties of pile yarns, and providing a high-grade feeling by using pile yarns consisting of polyester multifilaments having flat cross sections and angular apertures of concave parts within a specific range. CONSTITUTION: The pile yarns are constituted of polyester multifilaments comprising filaments having substantially flat cross sections and angular apertures (θ) of concave parts within the range of 90 deg.<=θ<=150 deg.. The objective pile fabric having improved durability and opening properties, and providing a high-grade feeling is obtained by using the pile yarns and weaving threads comprising the pile yarns.
