The present invention relates to novel derivatives of 4-phenyl quinazoline of general formula: (I) in which R2 is H or halogen or R1 is a hydroxyamino derivative of type in which at least R3 or R4 comprises an OH group or in which R5 comprises an OH group or it also relates to the drugs which may be used as minor tranquilizers, hypnotics and antiepileptics containing a product of formula (I).
