摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the transfer speed of data at the time of recording and reproduction by making the thickness of an electromagnet on the side of a data signal reproducing photodetector thinner than that on the side of an objective lens by sandwiching a recording medium or eliminating the arrangement of the electro-magnet on the side of the data signal reproducing photodetector. CONSTITUTION:The powerful electro-magnets 9 are arranged on the side of an objective lens actuator, and the electro-magnets 10 on the side of the data signal reproducing photodetector 13 are made thin or are eliminated, whereby the data signal reproducing photodetector 13 is permitted to approach the recording medium so as to reduce the area of a light-receiving surface. Thus, high speed responsibility and the data transfer speed can be improved. Namely, the data transfer speed more than 3Mbits/sec can be obtained, and a magneto- optical recording and reproducing device with the high data transfer speed can be obtained even at low cost.
