<p>PURPOSE:To surely detect a longitudinal split by arranging an endless detecting belt to be closely attached to the bottom part of an upper winding link part of a conveyer belt and driving both the belts running by friction so as to detect the longitudinal split of the conveyer belt by stopping the detecting belt. CONSTITUTION:Driving a roller 2 by a driving source 4, a conveyer belt 1 is driven running. In this way, a detecting belt 9 is driven running with the conveyer belt 1 by friction contact of the belt 9 in its upper winding link part 1a with the conveyer belt 1 in its upper winding link part. When a conveyed object penetrates through the upper winding link part 1a of the conveyer belt 1 and the upper winding link part of the detecting belt 9, the conveyed object is adapted to supporting rollers 10, and the detecting belt 9 is stopped. The belt 9 is detected in this stopping by a detecting circuit 14 as a roller 12 in its stopping, and the driving source 4 is stopped. By this constitution, the belt enables its longitudinal split to be surely detected.</p> |
