PURPOSE:To obtain a portable compact disk reproducing device being miniaturized and having high safety, by housing a player box in a player box cover at time of non-reproduction, and performing reproduction without exposing a disk to the outside after drawing out the player cabinet by sliding it from the player box cover. CONSTITUTION:The titled player is constituted of the player box 9 and the player box cover 10, and the player box 9 is constituted in a size value to form a volume capable of housing a reproduction mechanism, and incorporates the sliding mechanism of a compact disk player main body 1. At the time of non-reproducing, the player box 9 is housed in the player box cover 10, and the upper plane of the compact disk player main body 1 is protected by a disk player cover 2.
