PURPOSE:To allow a vehicle to run, by superposing the past running locus data in the present running area from a running locus means on the map data displayed by a control means. CONSTITUTION:Initial setting is performed by closing a power supply and position data is received by a receiving apparatus 1 to calculate departure positions X0, Y0. Map data are read from the positions X0, Y0 and the code of a CDROM 3 to display the present position mark on a CRT 7 in a superposed state. A time is operated to calculate present positions Xn, Yn and the running locus of this time is displayed on the CRT 7. A running locus is cleared by the continuation of the present position mark displayed at every predetermined time. The advance direction at (Xn, Yn) is subjected to ON-and-OFF display from (Xn, Yn) and (Xn-1, Yn-1) and display is repeated until arriving at one's destination while it is confirmed whether the present positions Xn, Yn are present within a circular route guide range. By this constitution, a vehicle can run on a road without losing losing one's way on the way of running. |
