PURPOSE:To enable the state of double delivery to be surely detected when paper has stopped once at a supply passage by sucking with a pair of suction nozzles the tip of paper delivered double and arranging so as to make it separated and making separated images projected into an image sensor. CONSTITUTION:Paper 7 supplied along a paper feed route 1 is delivered by means of a delivery roller 2, and when a tip portion reaches a predetermined position, it stops once. Hereupon, in the case of paper 7 having been delivered double, the tip portion of paper on the upper side, when the portion passes the roller 2, is pushed back by means of a double delivery prevention roller 3, and paper on the lower side alone is separated and delivered, and paper 7 on the upper side is left. However, in the case of paper in double delivery being unable to be separated by means of the roller 3, delivery in layers is done and stoppage is made once, and one side corner portion 7a of the tip portion of paper is sucked from both sides of obverse and reverse by means of suction nozzles 4a, 4b, and is separated and each is stuck fast to nozzles 4a, 4b. Accordingly, two layers of images are formed on an image projected on an image sensor 6 by means of a radiated light from an LED 5 to a side corner portion 7a, and delivery in double is ascertained by means of an output signal. |
