PURPOSE:To correct dislocation between the impressing position of a recording magnetic field and generated magnetization domain and to realize accurate demodulation by generating clock signals which are used at the time of recording data and clock signals used at the time of reproducing data based on different reference signals. CONSTITUTION:Reference domains 152 for generating reproducing clocks are recorded immediately after prepits in a sample format system, and user data patterns are subsequently recorded. At the time of recording, the magnetization domains 151 are generated by the clocks generated from the prepits. At the time of reproduction, data is demodulated based on the reference domains 152 by using the clocks generated by a PLL circuit different from that for recording. Even if a recording timing delay occurs, the reproducing clocks are generated by the reference domains 152 according to said processing. Thus, the timing delay between the reproducing clocks and the recorded data patterns hardly occur, and the accurate demodulation of data can be realized. |
