The cpds. of formula (I) and their salts are prepared by: reacting phenylsulfone amide of formula (II) with N-pyrimidinyland/or- triazinyl carbamate of formula (III) in the presence of the base; then converting the products to their salts by reaction with amine, alkali metal or alkali-earth metal hydroxide or quarternary ammonium salt. In formulas, A is 1-4C alkoxy, etc.; E is metyne or N; X is O, S or sulphynyl or sulfonyl bridge; Z is O or S; m=1,2; R1 is H, halogen, -Y-R5 radical or 1-3C alkyl; R2 is H, halogen, 1-5C alkyl, - Y-R5 etc.; R3 is H, alkoxy alkyl upto 4C etc.; R4 is 1-4C halogenoalkoxy etc.; R5 or R6 is 1-5C alkyl or 2-6 alkynyl; R7 or R8 is 1-5C alkyl etc.; R11 is H, N, 1-3C alkyl etc.; Y is O, S or sulphynyl or sulfonyl bridge.
