PURPOSE:To extend spectral sensitivity characteristics to a longer wavelength region and to enhance white light sensitivity by forming the carrier generating layer of a photosensitive layer formed on a substrate drum by a simultaneous vapor deposition of As2Se3 and a phthalocyanine compound on said drum. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body 10 is formed by vapor depositing the As2Se3 alloy and the phthalocyanine compound at the same time on the conductive substrate 11 to laminate the carrier generating layer (CGL) 12, and dispersing a carrier transfer material into a solution obtained by dissolving a thermosetting resin, such as polycarbonate, coating the layer 12 with the obtained dispersion to laminate a carrier transfer layer (CTL) 13, thus forming 2-layer structured photosensitive layer composed of the layers 12, 13, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to be extended in the spectral sensitivity characteristics to the longer wavelength region and in the white color sensitivity. |
