The invention relates to a device permitting the long-term preservation, at ambient temperature, of food products which cannot, without deterioration, be preserved in a metal package. It consists of a plastic sachet intended to contain the product under vacuum during its sterilisation at suitable temperatures. It consists of a second metalloplastic sachet intended to maintain preservation of the product over time by means of the barrier which it constitutes. A dotted line for opening the metalloplastic sachet makes it possible to avoid perforating the sterilisation sachet during opening and to use the latter for heating up the product to eating temperature. This device according to the invention is intended particularly for preserving delicate food products and for preserving industrial products or other products which have to be protected durably and economically from atmospheric components which risk causing their deterioration.
