The invention relates to articulated-arm mechanisms intended for automating the operation of doors with one or two leaves. The device is composed of a first arm 4 which supports an electrical geared-motor assembly and which pivots freely on the tube 1 bedded in the ground by means of the pivot 2. The output pinion 9 drives the second operating arm 5 connected to the leaf 6 by means of a fitting 7 and of a pin 8 which it is sufficient to remove in order to make it possible to carry out the operation of the leaf manually. The device which is the subject of the invention can be fitted to most existing doors.
