The invention relates to a method of communication which makes it possible to record a personalized voice message to be sent to a correspondent. It includes a postcard with a programmable electronic memory, a recorder allowing the memory to be programmed, a replay device allowing the recorded message to be listened to and, according to a first variant, a replay recorder. According to two other variants, the postcard incorporates the replay device or the recorder/replay device. The method according to the invention is intended for general use.
