Device for supplying a material, particularly in the form of granules or a powder. It includes a table 2 in which are formed orifices 4 for receiving the material, a shoe 10 including transfer chambers 12, a hopper 14 located above the shoe 10, the said shoe 10 being displaced between a loading position in which the transfer chambers 12 are located opposite a lower opening 15 of the hopper 14, and an unloading position in which the transfer chambers 12 are located opposite the receiving orifices 4 of the table 2. The hopper 14 is displaced in a rectilinear direction 26 perpendicular to the direction 28 of loading and unloading of the shoe. <IMAGE>
