PURPOSE:To hold a plate in a neutral position and stabilize a torque characteristic by alternately arranging the sharp boundary portions and smooth boundary portions of a plurality of slits on both faces of a plate. CONSTITUTION:A plate 10 is formed into an annular shape and has a plurality of slits 18 which pass from one face 11a in the axial direction to the other face 11b at an equal internal in the circumferential direction. These slits 18 consists of a first group A in which the boundary portions 19a with respect to one face 11a are sharply formed while the boundary portions 19b with respect to the other face 11b are smoothly formed, and a second group B in which these boundary portions are formed vise versa, and the first group A and the second group B are alternately arranged on the circumference. Thereby, during the operation of a viscous coupling, the movement of the plate caused by the flowing-in of oil into the smooth boundary portions rather than the sharp boundary portions of the slit can be prevented, keeping the plate in a neutral position. |
