PURPOSE:To dispense with a locking element for an output shaft of a rear axle by enabling a detecting mechanism for steered quantity to detect the steered quantity of rear axle to check the rotation of the output shaft. CONSTITUTION:A partial peripheral surface of an output shaft in its axial direction is gravedly provided with a rack 1a, and its another part is provided with a ball screw mechanism 13 around the output shaft 1. The ball screw mechanism 13 has a nut 15 having a flange 15a with a gear 15b on its periphery, and the gear 15b engages with a gear 17. A shaft of the gear 17 is connected with a clutch 19, a brake 21, a direct current motor 23 aud a steered quantity sensor 25 respectively. The sensor 25 and the motor 23 are controlled by a controller 27 in their functions. The rack 1a of the output shaft 1 engages with a pinion 11a provided on a shaft of a steered quantity sensor 11, and rotating force generated on the output shaft 1 can be thereby checked. |
