PURPOSE:To improve support rigidity and improve steering stability by arranging leaf springs in front and behind and also in parallel with the axis of right and left wheels, and setting the spring constant of a spring on the front side smaller than that on the rear side. CONSTITUTION:Leaf springs 4, 6 are arranged in parallel with the shaft 1 of wheels 2A, 2B, and the spring constant of a rear leaf spring 6 is set larger than the spring constant of a front leaf spring 4. As a result, the rigidity strength of a suspension device of a transverse system is heightened with two leaf springs 4, 6, in front and rear, and support rigidity against transverse load at the time of turning travel, along with support rigidity against load from the direction of front and rear at the time of acceleration and deceleration acted upon from a road surface, can be improved, too. Also, the front leaf spring 4 bends heavily at the time of turning, thus making right and left wheels 2A, 2B inclined inward, putting them into a toe-ion state, sot turning operation stability can be improved. |
