A support arm 7 of a partial-cutting machine 1 is arranged by means of two guide rods 8 and 9 on a cantilever 14 which can be turned about a vertical axis 17. The two guide rods 8 and 9 with the support arm 7 are arranged one behind the other in series and are connected to the cantilever 14 and the support arm 7 so as to be swivellable about axes 11 running at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the drift.
