In an amplifier arrangement which exhibits at least two amplifier devices operating into a common output for an amplified output signal, the supply voltage for the amplifier devices is switched, following the respective variation of the output signal, at least once from a lower supply voltage to a higher supply voltage with a rising output signal and at least once from a higher supply voltage to a lower supply voltage with a falling output signal, the supply voltage being switched with an offset in time in the two amplifier devices. This results in a minimisation of the power dissipation of the amplifier devices with an output signal which essentially has no interference voltages and extends analogously to the input signal.
