PURPOSE:To obtain the title binder having excellent compatibility with other constituent component, effective in preventing the skin-roughening and defatting defect of formed ceramic article and enabling the shortening the defatting time, by using a specific acrylic copolymer as a component. CONSTITUTION:An acrylic copolymer to be used in the present binder can be produced by copolymerizing (A) >=80wt.% (based on the sum of the whole monomers) of an alkyl methacrylate (e.g. n-butyl methacrylate), (B) 3-10wt.% of a mono(meth)acrylate of formula (X1 is H or CH3; R1-2 are alkylene; X2 is H or alkyl; m and n are positive numbers; m+n is >=2; the bonding order of -R1O- and -R2O- is arbitrary) (e.g. polyethylene glycol monomethacrylate) and (C) a monomer copolymerizable with these monomers (e.g. styrene). The title binder is obtained by mixing 10-40wt.% (based on the whole organic material) of the above copolymer with 20-40wt.% of a resin (e.g. PE), 30-60wt.% of a lubricant (e.g. wax) and 5-10wt.% of a plasticizer (e.g. diethyl phthalate). |
