PURPOSE:To execute a self-diagnosis at a high speed, to shorten self-diagnozing time, and to improve the use efficiency of the title device by writing the same data to the same address of the plural memories of a main storage part simultaneously and comparing the written data with data successively read from the same address. CONSTITUTION:The main storage part is composed of plural memories 1-1-1-n having the same capacity respectively. The diagnosis of a memory module, which is executed when the power source of the device is turned on, or a resetting switch is pressed, is executed by the diagnosis program of processor part 2. First, the same test data are written to the same address of the memory parts of all the memory modules 1-i, and next, the data written in the same address of the respective memory parts are successively read, compared with the written test data, and checked. Thus, the diagnosis of the memory modules 1-i can be executed at a high speed even when the memory capacity is increased, the self-diagnozing time can be shortened, and the use efficiency can be improved. |
