The door check includes a bracket secured to a door pillar or door and carrying two rollers (13,14). A contoured check arm (11) is also pivoted to the door or door pillar and extends between the rollers. The rollers are urged together by a bracket-mounted torsion bar (17) having first (15) and second (16) legs. Each leg journals a respective roller, the leg ends being connected by angled portions (21,22) to a U-shaped portion (18) of the bar. Adjacent to the first angled portion (21), an abutment hook (23) acts on the first leg to provide a pivotal leg fulcrum. The hook is part of the bracket. |
