<p>This invention relates to an interior/exterior finishing material used as a finishing material of interior/exterior wall surfaces, a ceiling surface, a floor surface, and so forth. Conventional building finishing processes use many kinds of raw materials which are fixed to the bed surface of a work to be executed by various working methods. Among the raw materials used as the finishing material, those which are made of glass, stone, metal, wood, etc, are difficult to work because they are heavy and cannot be bonded easily to the bed surface of the work. In accordance with the present invention, the surface finishing material made of glass, stone, metal, wood, or the like is shaped in a thin flat sheet form, and a reinforcing substrate for reinforcing the surface finishing material is integrally bonded to the reverse of this material with an adhesive. Therefore, the total weight of the finishing material can be reduced and, since the finishing material is fixed as the substrate and the bed surface of the work are bonded together, bonding power between the finishing material and the bed surface of the work can be improved and work can be made more easily. Furthermore, since the surface finishing material is used in the form of a thin flat sheet, the cost can be reduced, and numerous kinds of raw materials can be utilized as the surface finishing material.</p> |
