<p>A microwave circuit element comprising a body of an electrically conductive material which has non-linear resistance properties, the body being in the form of a film supported on a substrate (2) of dielectric material, the said body forming part of a microwave transmission path (1) such that an incident electrical field (Pi) having an intensity below a predetermined threshold level will be transmitted as field (Pt) by the body whilst a field (Pr) of strength greater than the threshold level will be reflected or diverted. The element can thus provide protection of the sensitive receive components in a radar system.</p> |
