PURPOSE:To obtain a front face light collection type beam index tube that stably operates for any hues, provides a reproduced picture with good colors, and is suitable for microminiaturization by forming a circuit in a relatively simple 1/m system. CONSTITUTION:An example shown in the figure is formed in a 1/1 system in which one each of the first and second index phosphor stripes is arranged in a single triplet. The first index phosphor stripe I1 is formed so as to form a layer between B and R with these adjacent stripes and the second index phosphor is mixed with a G color phosphor (indicated by G+I2) and forms the G color phosphor stripe serving also as the second index phosphor stripe. Besides, in order to prevent the emission of the G color phosphor with long afterglow from being reduced since the second index phosphor is mixed, and obtain a reproduced picture with correct hues the width of the G+I2 stripe is twice those of B and R phosphor stripes in this example. |
