Clamp (10) for wires (14) from which weights, especially lamps and chandeliers, are hung, comprising a fork (11) housing the upper end (37) of the wire (14) on which acts a strut (30) with articulation (31) on the pin (25), length of said strut, increased by the thickness of the wire (14) being greater than the distance between the axis of articulation and the opposed base (15) of the fork (11), in which base there is a hole (13) and the wire (14) penetrates through said hole inside the fork and lies on said base (15) after making a 90 DEG bend, so that, pulled by the load, the strut (30) will tend to move from an inclined position to one at right angles to the wire (14) and the gripping force of said clamp (10) will tend to increase in direct relation to increase in the load.
