PURPOSE:To obtain a microorganism having high FT (phenylalanine. transaminase) activity, by preparing a hybrid plasmid using genetic information on the FT collected from a microorganism of the genus Paracoccus. CONSTITUTION:A chromosomic fragment governing phenylalanine.transaminase activity of a microorganism belonging to the genus Paracoccus is cut out and integrated into a plasmid (preferably pLG339 or pUC18) to form a hybrid plasmid, which is then used to transform a microorganism of the genus Escherichia. The resultant microbial cells, culture, or treated microbial cells thereof can be then reacted with an oxo acid compound expressed by formula I (n is 1 or 2) or a salt thereof in the presence of an amino donor (preferably L-aspartic acid or L-glutamic acid) to efficiently afford the aimed L-amino acid expressed by formula II. |
