METHOD OF SURFACE FINISH FOR CERAMICS PLATE

PURPOSE:To shorten the time required to attach and detach a ceramic plate to and from a surface grinder for enhance operationability by mounting the ceramic plate to the surface grinder after sticking an adhesive material to the rear face and side face of the ceramic plate. CONSTITUTION:Adhesive tapes or adhesive sheets 2 are stuck to the rear face 1a and side face 1b of a ceramic plate to be ground. Utilizing these adhesive tapes or sheets 2, this ceramics plate 1 is mounted to a surface grinder 3 by using a fixing jig 4. In this state, the ceramics plate 1 is ground with a such grinding tool as a rotating grinding wheel 5 or the like. In this grinding, the adhesive tapes or sheets 2 existing between the ceramics plate 1 and jig 4 and between the plate 1 and surface grinder 3 absorb the impact force given to the ceramics plate 1 for eliminating the production of cracks and break. In the finish of grinding, the ceramics plate 1 is removed from the surface grinder 3 without dirt due to the adhesive tapes or sheets 2.
