The cleaning device has a container for receiving liquid and has a removable lid part which is air- and liquid-tightly sealed and carries a motor suction fan. With the cleaning device, the cleaning liquid applied to the floor surface to be cleaned is sucked up. To be able to use this suction cleaning device also as a spraying device, a further lid part, having a pump unit, can be arranged on the liquid container. The suction cleaning device can be connected to the liquid suction device having the lid part via a coupling means. The cleaning device is suitable as a spray-extraction device which can be simply and easily handled despite the large liquid capacity.
