The invention relates to a fuel cooler for the fuel flowing from the tank to the engine of an internal combustion engine, the said fuel cooler consisting of a possibly externally insulated, dome-shaped or cylindrical housing which has a coolant flowing axially through it in a turbulent fashion whilst the fuel to be cooled flows via axial ports through a spiral pipeline installed in the housing.
