The machine for finishing parquet floors has a rotary disc (1) with a base plate (5) on top, with a curved upper surface (3) having a pattern of abrasive ribs. Attached to each rib is resilient plastics or rubber tube (7). The ribs and tubes extend radially outwardly from a central circular part (6) and are helically curved. The ribs with tubes and the spaces (8) between, are enclosed by a stationary dust collecting ring with openings round it, and with connections for a suction source. ADVANTAGE - The ribs are prevented from clogging.
