PURPOSE:To make it possible to the shape of a mirror attaching section small by stretching a belt between a stationary gear on a body side stationary shaft and a drive gear in a mirror section rotatably attached to a stationary shaft journalled to a bracket, and by disposing a mirror section drive mechanism in the vicinity of the center therebetween. CONSTITUTION:A lower bracket 6 for a mirror visor 3 is rotatably journalled on a stationary shaft 2 which is planted on a base 1 fixed to a vehicle body side door. A stationary shaft gear 4 is unrotatably attached to the stationary shaft 2, being biased by a spring 16. A drive gear 8 is attached to a shaft 7 planted on the bracket 6 so as to be rotated by means of a drive motor 11 through the intermediary of reduction gears 10. A belt 12 is stretched between the drive gear 8 and the stationary gear 4 so that the mirror visor may be motor-driven. Due to the provision of the belt mechanism, it is possible to incorporate the drive mechanism which is bulky in the longitudinal direction, in the vicinity of the center therebetween, thereby it is possible to make the vehicle body side attaching section small and to aim at reducing the resistance by wind pressure. |
