In a device for the electro-hydraulic actuation of a clutch for the purpose of locking a power-dividing differential, an actuating piston (23) is acted upon by a pressure medium as a function of the position of a pressure control valve (11), the said pressure control valve (11) when actuated diverting unpressurised pressure medium to the tank. The power-dividing differential (31) is connected to an automatic transmission on the output side. In order to reduce the design cost, the main control line (4) of the device is connected to the main pressure system (2) of a control (3) for the automatic transmission. Faulty shifting of the clutch (30), which may be caused by system pressure fluctuations and natural oscillations of the pressure control valve (11) are prevented in that a clutch valve (13) in the main control line is connected to the actuating piston (23) on the upstream side, which valve is actuated by a pilot control line (7), which is reduced to a constant reduced pressure by a pressure-reducing valve (5), the pressure control valve (11) and a damping device (20) being arranged in the said pilot control line (7). <IMAGE>
